2022 Annual Progress Report
This report provides an update on the progress made by Global Tourism Plastics Initiative signatories across the five commitment areas in 2021: elimination, introduction of reuse models or reusable alternatives, engaging the value chain, increasing recycled content, and collaboration and investment.
The report also includes individual company profiles which showcase the actions taken by 10 large accommodation providers and 2 suppliers.
2021 Annual Progress Report
In 2021, the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative (GTPI) set in motion its first pilot reporting for large companies (accommodation and supplier) that joined the Initiative in 2020 and for which annual reporting is mandatory as part of their commitments to the GTPI. Six accommodation providers (Accor, Club Med, Hong-Kong and Shanghai Hotels, Iberostar, Melco, Six Senses) and one supplier (deSter, member of gategroup) participated in the reporting exercise.
