WWF Italy

WWF Italy is an Italian environmental association, part of the international WWF (World Wildlife Fund) network, an international non-governmental organisation dedicated to nature conservation. Building a world in which man can live in harmony with nature. WWF Italy include 50 National Delegations 100 Oases throughout Italy more than 5 Million supporters worldwide. WWF Italy manages over 30,000 hectares in more than 100 protected areas throughout the country, called 'WWF Oases'. In addition to coordinated efforts for international projects, a large part of WWF Italy's work focuses on the national territory, involving ecosystems such as forest, marine and inland waters. WWF Italy has around 1300 Active projects around the world on the following Priority Areas of Intervention: - WILDLIFE - FORESTS - SEA AND OCEANS - RIVERS AND WETLANDS - CLIMATE - FOOD & AGRICULTURE WWF Italy carries out the following main activities: - EDUCATION We spread the culture of sustainability, particularly to the younger generations, for a fairer future for all. - COMPANIES & MARKETS We nurture sustainability through the involvement and activation of the corporate world. - POLICY & ADVOCACY Every year, dozens of WWF lawyers, the Panda Lawyers, defend the environment in courtrooms.
