One Planet One Life

One Planet One Life is an NGO based in Spain. Their activities on plastics have included: beach clean-ups, participating in ‘Ibiza Plastic Free’, designing and implementing a course called "Dirección Consciente" to raise awareness among nautical crews to avoid spills, recycle, and use less plastic and single-use materials, and promoting the installation of public fountains to avoid plastic bottles.

In the framework of the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative, One Planet One Life commits to:

  • Encouraging affiliated organisations and businesses or partners to join the GTPI by offering courses to ports, marinas, nautical companies, and nautical students, teaching waste 2025.
  • Advising and guiding affiliated organisations, businesses or partners to better manage plastics in their operations by providing training and technical advice to partner organisations, aiming to deliver at least 20 trainings to 500 professionals and 30-50 companies by 2025.
  • Communicating successes to affiliated organisations and partners via social media.
  • Reporting publicly and annually on progress made towards these targets.
