Global Tourism Plastics Initiative
In the framework of the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative, Ninety-Six Hotel Collection commits to:
- Eliminating problematic and/or unnecessary plastic from service areas, rooms and cleaning services by 2030.
- Introducing reuse models or reusable alternatives in cleaning services and service areas by 2030.
- Engaging the value chain to provide data on recyclability and compostability of plastic packaging to facilitate the move towards 100% of plastic packaging to be reusable, recyclable, or compostable by 2030 by engaging suppliers and business associations.
- Taking action to increase recycled content across all plastic packaging and items by 2030 by engaging suppliers and business associations.
- Collaborating and investing in increasing recycling and composting rates by providing training to staff on waste sorting and engaging waste service providers, as well as business and other key stakeholders.
- Reporting publicly and annually on progress made towards these targets.
