La Bruguera de Púbol

La Bruguera de Púbol is an eco retreat centre. Our mission is to provide our guests with a place they can focus on their personal development while keeping the environment and our relationship with the other-than-human world in mind. We are one world and we aim to help guests see and experience their inter-connectedness with nature. We don't say this lightly - it is hard to achieve, and we are not there yet. It is a collaborative exercise, which we undertake with our guests - a mission we share. We seek to be regenerative, not merely sustainable. We apply the 3 ethics of Permaculture to our business processes: Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share. We believe that truly responsible and regenerative tourism is about respecting the environment, sustaining a community and its local economy. It's about building relationships and valuing social capital over financial profit. It's about human relationships focused on working co-operatively for a future that we can be proud to leave our great-grand children's children! We try to show our guests how to lower their environmental footprint, and how to leave the planet in a better state than how they found it. We are always open to learning, and continually seek new knowledge to better ourselves and our work. We are members of the Research & Degrowth Association, an academic and activist organisation dedicated to degrowth research and practice.
