WHO WE ARE

Integrated Relief & Development Actions (IRDA) is Non- Government- non-profit making Organization established by Volunteer Ethiopians in 2019 and obtained operational license from F.D.R.E Civil Society Authority in 2021. With the aim of self-support to enhance sustainable development and envisioned providing comprehensive supports to the Ethiopians by mobilizing and recruiting of volunteers and professionals in line with the existing Humanitarian crisis, social, economic and other development gaps and our work directed by four humanitarian principles (Humanity, Impartiality, Independence and Neutrality).

1. Our Objectives

Striving for the development and strengthening economic opportunities of the most vulnerable communities to human induced and natural disaster crises, through measures that will increase livelihoods and better access to basic services.

2. Thematic Areas

Main sectors:

§  ES/NFI, Wash, Livelihoods and Food Security, Peacebuilding, Human trafficking and Migration.


Mainstreaming:

·        Gender and Protection, Environmental Protection, Disability inclusion

3. Target Groups

·        Children, Adolescent and Youth population, Women, People with special need, Refugees & internally displaced populations (IDPs).

4. Areas of Operation

We operate in areas of prevalence of high poverty and poor social mobility and Emergency crisis.

Our work spans in:

·        Oromia, Afar, Tigray, Amhara, Somali, Gambella, Benishangul-Gumuz regional states and Addis Ababa City Administration.

5. Track Record of Experience

IRDA has reached more than 250,000 k beneficiaries including most vulnerable IDPS and host communities with ES/NFI, Protection (GBV & CP), WASH, Environmental protection, Women & Youth Empowerment and Livelihood intervention in a coordination with national and other international supporters.
