In the framework of the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative, Fundación Lenga commits to:

  • Encouraging affiliated organisations and businesses or partners to join the GTPI, aiming to motivate 5 to 10 businesses to sign up by the end of 2024, and a further 5 to 10 by the end of 2025.
  • Advising and guiding affiliated organisations, businesses or partners to better manage plastics in their operations by assessing tourism businesses to help them implement zero-waste goals (20 businesses by end of 2024), conducting workshops or talks on going zero-waste in tourism (3 by end of 2024, 5 by end of 2025), and increasing the number of businesses on the ‘Go Zero Waste’ app (90 by end of 2024).
  • Communicating successes to affiliated organisations and partners via social media.
  • Reporting publicly and annually on progress made towards these targets.
