Global Tourism Plastics Initiative
In the framework of the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative, Attitude Hospitality Management commits to:
- Eliminating problematic and/or unnecessary plastic packaging from food and drink services, and cling film from kitchens by 2026. Attitude Hospitality Management also commits to working with suppliers to find alternatives to plastic packaging for products delivered to bulk shops.
- Introducing reuse models or reusable alternatives in food and drink services and kitchens by 2026.
- Engaging the value chain to provide data on recyclability and compostability of plastic packaging to facilitate the move towards 100% of plastic packaging to be reusable, recyclable, or compostable by 2030 by engaging suppliers, regulators and business associations, and establishing procurement criteria.
- Taking action to increase recycled content across all plastic packaging and items by 2030 by ensuring recycling of plastic and other waste types is properly implemented in all hotels.
- Collaborating and investing in increasing recycling and composting rates by providing training to staff on waste sorting, and engaging waste service providers.
- Reporting publicly and annually on progress made towards these targets.
