The seminar is intended for Public and private companies (small, medium, large) that strive to improve their competitiveness and social responsibility by publishing information on the carbon footprint of products and monitoring the impact of their own products on climate change, as well as persons responsible for environmental protection, representatives of local governments, but and to all representatives of institutions and state bodies whose work is aimed at meeting the goals of sustainable development, the green economy and the fight against climate change.
The carbon footprint of a product reflects the potential effect on the global energy balance over time that comes from the sum of emissions and removals of greenhouse gases of the production systems, expressed as CO2e, which are associated with the procurement of raw materials, design, production, transport/delivery, use, and end-of-life treatment.
The course provides theoretical and practical guidelines for making a carbon footprint study of products (goods and services) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14067: 2018 and thereby contributing to:
Reduction of GHG emissions of business activities and products
Identification of possible savings in the use of energy and resources
Development of new products and services
Demonstrating a high level of corporate responsibility and environmental awareness
Contribution to global efforts to combat climate change
