Sustainable Materials and Assets Passport | P+

  • Published on January 25, 2024

P+ is a technological tool developed by the Technological Center for Innovation in Construction, and Chile Green Building Council, which allows the preparation of material passports and the management of buildings in a sustainable manner over time.

Through the registration, verification and validation of technical sustainability information related to environmental impacts, toxicity and circularity, of the materials and products that make up a building; the platform generates indicators and reports that give value to the asset, both in its current use and at the time of its recovery and/or reuse, thereby promoting a more environmentally conscious construction.

The P+ project encourages the valorization of materials and products, through a tool that has support from the public and private sectors and whose structure is based on globally agreed upon and recognized indicators and metrics and evidence of each of the attributes and that additionally allows you to compare the performance of buildings through data included in BIM models.

Currently, the passport, in its third stage, is incorporating indicators associated with waste generated per declared unit of product and carbon factors, including its recovery potential, to link it to a marketplace platform for industrial symbiosis.
