SME Selection Criteria
The InTex SME Selection Criteria report outlines the methodology used to identify and engage small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the textile sector for participation in the InTex project. The document provides a clear framework for selecting SMEs based on factors such as commitment from leadership, readiness to adopt sustainability recommendations, position in the value chain, economic relevance, market reach, data transparency, and gender inclusion. Participating SMEs benefit from technical training, life cycle assessments (LCA), action plan development, support in adopting circular business models, and visibility through engagement with global networks and policymakers. The report highlights how the project empowers SMEs to reduce their environmental impact while enhancing competitiveness in a more sustainable textile industry.
