Cluster Exchange Mechanism (CEM) - InTex India
The InTex India – Cluster Exchange Mechanism (CEM) Brochure presents an overview of the initiative led by UNEP and the Ministry of Textiles to accelerate the Indian textile sector’s transition towards sustainability and circularity. It outlines the background, objectives, and structure of the CEM, highlighting how the mechanism fosters collaboration, peer learning, and knowledge sharing among textile clusters across India.
The Cluster Exchange Mechanism (CEM) is a collaborative platform established under the UNEP InTex India project to connect textile clusters, industry associations, and MSMEs. Its goal is to promote peer learning, exchange best practices, and support the adoption of sustainable and circular approaches within the Indian textile value chain. By facilitating dialogue among clusters, government representatives, academia, and private sector actors, the CEM aims to strengthen inter-cluster cooperation, address common challenges, and align the sector with national and global sustainability goals.
