Tourism Observatory of Sanur, Bali
To facilitate all stakeholders involved in Sanur to be competitive and professional in managing destination towards sustainable tourism development. To design and promote a tourism destination management system as a guidance for the implementation of sustainable tourism policies, strategies and programs in Sanur. To share knowledge and experiences in monitoring the impacts of tourism at the local level.
- Establishment of the observatory - First stakeholders meetings - Preparation of first preliminary study about the situation on the ground (on the destination background, data needs, monitoring goals etc.) - Start of researching/monitoring activities - joins UNWTO International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories (INSTO)
